“Can you make a cake for…” might be one of my favorite things to hear. This cake, a confetti cake with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream, was for a sweet and incredibly kind new friend. I’ve been heavily inspired by the buttercream waves and fresh flower decorations from Kassie of @ibakemistakes on instagram/tiktok. Her style of cake decorating is beautiful and carefree while staying structured and intentional. I’m obsessed. I stopped by Local Roots Farm in Duvall to pick flowers from their ‘u-pick flower’ stand. After a gentle cleaning and dipping in safety seal they’re ready to be used as decoration.
